How to Build a Material Palette That Lasts
A repeatable palette gives your home rhythm, saves decision fatigue, and keeps rooms connected without making them identical.

A lasting palette usually has a base, a timber, a metal, a stone or tile language, and one or two accent tones. You can vary the proportions room by room.
Collect real samples and view them together in your home. Screens are useful for direction, but material decisions need light, texture, and scale.
If every room needs a different hero finish, pause. Repetition is what makes a home feel intentional.
